Rooted in God: A Daily Pursuit of Depth and Divine Purpose

🌿 Rooted in God: A Daily Pursuit of Depth and Divine Purpose
Since childhood, I have been pursuing God with a deep and unrelenting hunger. Over the years, I’ve discovered that even after decades of seeking Him, I’ve merely scratched the surface of who He truly is.
I have also realized that there levels and depth in in God unknown to my human mind and spirit and I can only discover more about him by my daily surrender and daily pursuit of him.
My highest aim in life is not fame, fortune, recognition, a viral video, post, to be known and be recognized by men, instead it is to be fully known, rooted and grounded in Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior.
To be rooted in Him is to be anchored in His truth, nourished by His Word and be guided by the Holy Spirit, and constantly been transformed by His Word. I long to be fully known by Him, to walk in the fullness of His will, and to carry out His divine plan and purpose for my life while I yet live. Then, when my earthly assignment is complete, I pray to transition from this life into eternal glory, forever with the One I’ve loved and served.
🌺 What Does It Mean to Be Rooted in Christ?
Being rooted in Christ is not just a Sunday experience, it’s a daily lifestyle. It is a commitment to pursue His heart, His will for my life, to reflect His nature, and to allow Him to shape every area of my lives.
🌱 1. Recognizing His Sovereignty
To be rooted begins with the unshakable belief that God is real and that He keeps His promises.
“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.”
— Hebrews 11:6 (NLT)
💖 2. Accepting His Love
Being rooted also means embracing the unwavering, unconditional love that God has for us, love that no force on earth can undo.
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.”
— Romans 8:38 (NLT)
“No power in the sky above or in the earth below indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
— Romans 8:39 (NLT)
🎁 3. Receiving Salvation
Salvation is not a reward for good behavior; it is a gift of grace offered to every person who believes in Jesus Christ and turns from sin.
“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.”
— Ephesians 2:8–9 (NLT)
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
— John 3:16 (NLT)
“Peter replied, ‘Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’”
— Acts 2:38 (NLT)

📖 4. Aligning with His Word
A rooted life is one that consistently aligns with the Word of God and is shaped by His love and truth.
“But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.”
— Psalm 1:2–3 (NLT)
🙏🏽 5. Leaning on His Power
To be rooted in God is to surrender your own strength and depend on His divine power.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6 (NLT)
🔍 6. Pursuing His Character
Being rooted means pursuing God’s character every day and allowing Him to transform us from the inside out.
“And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”
— Colossians 2:6–7 (NLT)
📝 Summary
To be rooted in God is to be established in faith, anchored in truth, empowered by his grace. Authentic in our walk, and grounded in His love. It’s not an emotional high, it’s a daily commitment to walk closely with Him. A rooted woman is unshakable in storms, fruitful in every season, and secure in her purpose.
