Stay Spiritually Alert: Not Everyone Around You Is Sent by God!

The enemy is strategic, his tactics are subtle yet destructive. He will twist your perception, causing you to push away those divinely assigned to help you while embracing those whose mission is to manipulate, distract, and derail your Kingdom purpose.
This is why discernment is not optional, it’s essential. You must move beyond surface-level connections and test the spirit behind every relationship. Not everyone who claps for you is for you, and not everyone who challenges you is against you. Some battles are distractions, and some alliances are divine setups for elevation.
1. Walk in the Spirit, Not in the Flesh
The flesh is easily deceived, it gravitates toward comfort, flattery, and familiarity. But the Spirit discerns beyond appearances, revealing hidden motives, divine alignments, and enemy traps in disguise.
Galatians 5:16 (NIV) – “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”
1 Corinthians 2:14 (ESV) – “The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.”
2. Test the Spirit Behind Every Relationship
Before forming alliances, ask yourself:
• Is this connection sharpening me spiritually or pulling me away from my purpose?
• Does this person bring clarity or confusion?
• Is this a divine appointment or a demonic assignment?
1 John 4:1 (NIV) – “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
Matthew 7:15-16 (NLT) – “Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act.”
3. Be Watchful—The Enemy is Deceptive
The wrong alliances can delay, detour, or even destroy what God is building in you. But the right ones will challenge, stretch, and elevate you toward His perfect will.
2 Corinthians 11:14-15 (NIV) – “And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness.”
Proverbs 27:17 (ESV) – “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”
1 Peter 5:8 (NIV) – “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
Final Encouragement
Stay prayerful, stay discerning, and trust the Holy Spirit to guide your steps. Your Kingdom assignment is too valuable to be compromised by misplaced loyalty!
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Always With Love, Waydia🩷
